This 1985 Manta 400 (chassis RM30) is the sole works-built Safari car, and after being discovered in Tanzania was exported to the UK for a comprehensive restoration in which its original drivers were consulted. The car now wears Rauno Aaltonen’s name on the window, who as Opel’s main development driver at the time finished fourth in the East African event it was built for. It looks great, and is documented with period and restoration history. Find it here on Cheshire Classic Cars in the UK for 125k GBP (~$199,950 USD today). Special thanks to reader Kyle K. for the submission!
