This just in from the seller of the beautiful BaT Exclusive MG TF (feature link) that he restored himself:
“Good Morning BaT,
My selling experience through BaT was wonderful. You seem to have clientele that are into exclusive and interesting automobiles. I had expected the process to take much longer than it did. I have also attached a few photos of the moving process. It has now been four days since I sold my TF and it was loaded up and on it’s way to New Jersey.
So far no seller’s remorse and I do not really expect to have any. I guess for three reasons…
First, the car will have a nice home with the new owner Tom in New Jersey. I know he is going to take wonderful care of the car.
Second, I did receive good compensation for all the work I did on the TF. I have not added up all the bills but feel that it did cover all the expenses that I had in the restoration. Of course my labor rate is very, very low.
Third, my friend said: ‘Chuck, your enjoyment is in the journey and not the destination.’ The journey was doing all the restoration work on my TF. I enjoy working with my hands and once the TF was restored then all I had to do was drive it. But the truth was that I actually enjoyed working on the TF more than I did driving it.
So, in looking back I have no regrets and it has been a wonderful journey; but, I guess that means I have to start planning another trip.
